  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk (of choice)
  • 3 1/2 tbsp oil (or applesauce)
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar, milk, oil (or applesauce), vanilla extract, and diced apples until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined—do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for approximately 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
