  • 23 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla until well combined.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  3. Roll out dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about ½ inch thick. Spread softened butter over the dough and sprinkle with more cinnamon and sugar if desired. Roll tightly from one end to another.
  4. Slice rolled dough into about eight pieces and place them in a greased baking dish. Bake for approximately 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. For the glaze, whip softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
