  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 1 tbsp instant dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk until slightly warm to activate the yeast. In a large bowl, mix it with softened butter, eggs, bread flour, yeast, sugar, and salt until a soft dough forms.
  2. Knead gently and let rise in a greased bowl covered with a damp cloth until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  3. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick. Spread softened butter on top and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Roll tightly into a log and cut into equal pieces (12 works well). Twist each piece before placing them in a greased baking dish.
  5. Let rise again for about 30 minutes before baking at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
