  • 3 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 medium red onion, finely diced
  • 1 rib celery, finely diced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni in salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente.
  2. Drain the pasta and rinse with cool water to stop cooking.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, pepper, sugar, salt, garlic, and onion powder.
  4. Stir in the diced onion, celery, and bell pepper into the dressing.
  5. In a large bowl, mix the cooled pasta with half of the dressing.
  6. Cover and refrigerate both the pasta and remaining dressing for at least 2 hours.
  7. Before serving, add the remaining dressing to the pasta and toss well. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
