  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 cups cornflakes cereal
  • 12 ounces chocolate (dark, milk, or vegan)
  • Maldon sea salt flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together until smooth. Cook for an additional minute to caramelize the sugar.
  3. Pour the mixture over the cornflakes and gently fold them together until evenly coated. Press into a rectangle on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 9-12 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
  5. Melt your choice of chocolate and dip half of each piece of Cornflake Crack in it. Sprinkle with Maldon sea salt flakes if desired while still warm.
