  • 2 chicken breasts (cut in half lengthwise)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or dry white wine
  • 1 cup heavy/whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for about 5–6 minutes on each side until cooked through. Transfer to a plate and tent with foil.
  3. In the same skillet, add flour and minced garlic; cook for about one minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth or wine, whisking to dissolve the flour. Reduce liquid by half.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and simmer until thickened, then mix in parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over it, sprinkle with parsley, and serve.
