  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber (grated and drained)
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, parsley, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place on a baking sheet.
  3. Cook by either pan-frying in olive oil over medium heat for 10-12 minutes or baking at 400°F for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
  4. For the tzatziki sauce, mix Greek yogurt with grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, dill, olive oil, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Serve meatballs with tzatziki on the side.
