  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil

  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for the cream cheese layer)
  • 1 large egg (for the cream cheese layer)
  • Orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper, spraying it with non-stick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Add eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract; stir until just combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Mix in sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and orange food coloring until well blended.
  4. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish. Dollop spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture on top and cover with the remaining brownie batter. Use a knife to swirl gently through both layers.
  5. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean with a few moist crumbs attached. Allow cooling before cutting into squares.
