  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Fresh parsley and chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the seasoned chicken for 6–7 minutes on each side until golden brown; remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter, then add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until translucent (3–4 minutes).
  4. Pour in Irish whiskey and flambé if desired; cook off alcohol.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and chicken broth; simmer until thickened.
  6. Return chicken to skillet; spoon sauce over it and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with parsley and chives before serving.
