Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 23 fresh jalapenos, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing warm water and sugar in a bowl. Add yeast and let it froth for 5-10 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center, then add the yeast mixture, olive oil, and chopped jalapenos. Mix until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and allow it to rise again for another hour.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
