  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp gochujang (optional)
  • 46 burger buns
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in onion and garlic; sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, gochujang (if using), ketchup, and ginger. Mix well and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. For a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the beef mixture; cook until thickened.
  5. Toast burger buns; spoon beef mixture onto each bun and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
