  • 18 grams (2 tablespoons) orange zest
  • 105 grams (1/2 cup) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 115 grams (1/2 cup) melted butter
  • 180 grams (3/4 cup) fresh orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease an 8½ x 4½ inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, mix the sugar with the orange zest until fragrant.
  4. Add eggs to the sugar mixture and whisk until combined. Mix in melted butter and fresh orange juice.
  5. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients by stirring gently until just mixed; do not overmix.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 35-38 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 20 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
