Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon, skin-side up, for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Flip and sear for an additional 2 minutes.
  3. In a saucepan, combine orange juice, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and orange zest. Simmer over medium heat until flavors meld. For a thicker glaze, stir in mixed cornstarch.
  4. Pour the glaze over salmon in the skillet and transfer to the oven. Bake for about 8-10 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. Let rest briefly before serving.
