  • 4 salmon filets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ginger (minced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Optional: sesame oil, sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cornstarch with water until smooth. Combine with the remaining sauce ingredients in a saucepan; simmer until thickened.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C). Line a baking sheet with oiled foil and place salmon on it.
  3. Baste salmon with half of the sauce; bake for about 14 minutes or until flaky.
  4. Broil for an additional minute after basting with reserved sauce for a charred finish.
  5. Serve over rice, garnished with optional toppings.
