Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 medium onion (sliced)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 3/4 cups beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and form into four oval patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for about 5–6 minutes on each side until browned. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté sliced onions and mushrooms until seared (about 7–9 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  4. Lower heat to medium; melt butter in the skillet and whisk in flour for about 1–2 minutes. Gradually add beef broth until smooth.
  5. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder; return patties and sautéed vegetables to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5–7 minutes until gravy thickens.
