  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 1 red bell pepper (chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 Tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups bone broth (or chicken broth or beef broth)
  • 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 15-ounce can petite diced tomatoes (undrained)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni (cooked according to package directions)

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Transfer to a slow cooker.
  2. Add chopped onion, red bell pepper, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, broth, crushed tomatoes, and diced tomatoes to the slow cooker. Stir well.
  3. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours or LOW for 4-6 hours.
  4. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted, then gently fold in cooked elbow macaroni.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy!
