  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries
  • 45 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 cup sugar (adjustable)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Two 8-ounce packs of softened cream cheese

Instructions

  1. In a medium pot over medium heat, combine fresh cranberries and sugar. Cook until cranberries begin to burst.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in green onions, cilantro, jalapeño, cumin powder, lemon or lime juice, and salt.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth; fold in cranberry mixture until combined.
  4. Transfer to a serving dish, cover tightly, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (or overnight).
  5. Serve with an assortment of crackers.
