  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup full-fat sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, egg, panko breadcrumbs, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, allspice, nutmeg, and pepper until combined. Form into 1¼-inch meatballs.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry meatballs until browned on all sides (about 5–7 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  3. Pour out excess fat; add butter to the skillet until melted. Stir in flour to create a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in beef broth until smooth. Add Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Return meatballs to the skillet; simmer for about 10 minutes until cooked through and gravy thickens.
  6. Stir in sour cream before serving; season with salt and pepper.
