  • 1 cup pecans (chopped)
  • 8 tablespoons cold butter (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. Wash the sweet potatoes, place them on the baking sheet, and cut slits in each to allow steam to escape.
  3. Bake for 1 to 1.5 hours until soft, then let cool.
  4. Lower the oven temperature to 350°F.
  5. Scoop out the sweet potato flesh into a deep bowl; mash until smooth.
  6. Mix in maple syrup, vanilla extract, melted butter, ground cinnamon, and heavy cream until well combined.
