  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/8 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 12 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix lukewarm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until foamy (5–10 minutes).
  2. Add eggs, melted butter, and salt; whisk to combine. Gradually mix in flour until dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on medium speed for about 5 minutes until smooth; let rest covered for 10 minutes.
  4. Combine brown sugar, cocoa powder, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle; spread softened butter over it, then sprinkle with the sugar mixture and chocolate chips.
  6. Roll tightly from long side; cut into 12 pieces and place on a lined baking sheet. Let rise in a warm oven for about 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake rolls for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For frosting, beat butter and cream cheese together; gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa powder until smooth.
