  • 68 cups cubed French bread or 2 boxes thawed bread dumplings
  • 1 32-ounce carton chicken or turkey broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • Poultry seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté the diced celery, onion, and mushrooms in melted butter over medium heat for about 8–10 minutes until softened.
  2. Add the beef sausage, breaking it apart while cooking until browned. Season with poultry seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the thawed bread dumplings or cubed French bread.
  4. Pour the sausage and vegetable mixture over the bread and toss gently to combine.
  5. Whisk together eggs, milk, and broth in another bowl before adding it to the stuffing mixture. Stir until evenly coated.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and bake at 375°F (190°C) for approximately 45 minutes until golden brown.
