- 1 – 15.25 ounce vanilla cake mix
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups Oreo cookie chunks
- 3/4 cup red, white, & blue M&Ms, divided
- 1/2 cup red, white, & blue sprinkles, divided
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the vanilla cake mix, softened butter, cream cheese, egg, and vanilla extract until a soft dough forms.
- Gently fold in the Oreo chunks along with half of the M&Ms and sprinkles.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 60 minutes to help maintain shape while baking.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Scoop out 24 even dough balls using a cookie scoop and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Press in remaining M&Ms and sprinkles on top.
- Bake for about 10 minutes until lightly golden around the edges.
- Cool on the pan for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
