  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine (optional)
  • For the syrup: 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sift the flour into a mixing bowl and combine it with sesame oil, honey, grated ginger, and rice wine until you form a smooth dough.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick, then cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters.
  4. Place cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for around 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. While baking, simmer honey and water in a saucepan until slightly thickened to create the syrup.
