  • 1 small red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 small carrots (shredded)
  • 2 whole jalapeños (seeded and minced)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp spicy brown mustard
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 4 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp celery salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine thinly sliced cabbage, rinsed red onions, shredded carrots, minced jalapeños, and sliced green onions.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, spicy brown mustard, apple cider vinegar, sugar, celery salt, ground cumin, cayenne pepper, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour about ¼ cup of dressing over the slaw mixture; toss gently to coat. Add more dressing if desired.
  4. Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow flavors to meld before serving.
