  • 1½ cups water (360ml)
  • â…“ cup vegetable oil (80ml)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 6 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar (45g)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (15ml)
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour (95g)
  • ½ cup brown sugar (100g)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup cold butter, cubed (115g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine yellow cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Whisk until smooth and pour into the prepared pan.
  3. In another bowl, mix together sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice; spread over the batter in the pan.
  4. For the crumble topping, mix flour, brown sugar, and salt in a clean bowl. Cut in cold butter until crumbly and sprinkle over the apples.
