  • Red paste food color
  • Blue paste food color
  • Whole eggs and egg whites
  • Betty Crocker Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • Red, white, and blue star-shaped candy sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (325°F for dark pans). Prepare two 8-inch round cake pans with cooking spray and parchment paper.
  2. Prepare red cake batter by mixing one box of cake mix with water, oil, whole eggs, and red paste food color. Divide into two pans.
  3. Bake for 28-33 minutes; cool completely.
  4. Repeat the process for blue layers using egg whites and blue food color.
  5. Trim dome tops from cooled cakes, then layer them on a serving platter with frosting in between.
  6. Frost the entire cake and decorate with sprinkles.
