  • 2 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two muffin pans.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract; mix until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture just until combined.
  6. Press about two tablespoons of cookie dough into each muffin pan cup and bake for approximately 12 minutes.
  7. After cooling for at least 15 minutes, gently press down the centers to shape them.
  8. For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar, milk, and optional food coloring.
  9. Frost cooled cookie cups and top with sprinkles if desired.
