  • 4 large skin-on, bone-in chicken breasts
  • ÂĽ cup olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ÂĽ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 cups White Barbecue Sauce (homemade)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the White Barbecue Sauce and set aside one cup for serving.
  2. Marinate chicken breasts in two cups of sauce for at least four hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to high heat.
  4. Remove chicken from marinade, rinse, and pat dry; brush with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Grill skin-side down for 2-3 minutes until grill marks appear; then flip and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Move chicken to a cooler part of the grill, skin-side up; lower heat to medium and cover.
  7. Brush with reserved sauce every five minutes until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F).
  8. Rest for five minutes before serving with extra sauce.
